How Are Things On the West Coast?

2007 is shaping up to be really awesome year as far as music is concerned. It seems like I've bought more CDs in the last five months than in the previous year and a half. I'm excited about new records coming out later this year by some of my favorite bands. I've got new efforts by Interpol, Smashing Pumpkins (well, the Corgan and Chamberlain version), Imperial Teen (finally!), New Pornographers and possibly (fingers crossed) the Cure to look forward to. I'm sure as the year progresses, I'll find even more records to get excited about, like the forthcoming Old Man album, maybe? Everything I've heard off the new National record has been good, so I'm planning on getting it this weekend. I'm still trying to resist picking up the Amy Winehouse (she's hot, scary, British and an alcoholic; what a combo!) album for some reason. Thanks to that damn Sirius internet radio, I'm still pumping money into iTunes for songs that get stuck in my head, too. Well, there are worse things to spend my money on, so I'm not too upset.

Yor really should pick up Back to Black. It's quickly become one of my favorites.

Back to black is fuckin' amazing! And to to with the drink habit, she's also scarily thin and a coke whore (and I don't mean of the Coca Cola variety!)
